I totally understand the need for paid modules to continue development of this project but wanted to sound a word of caution. It sounds very good as well so I can totally see myself using it in a track. I finally got around playing with this thing, and I'm truly impressed! I have to say I really don't like software modulars in terms of workflow, but as a free learning tool VCV rack is indispensable. Step by step would be great if anyone is willing to share their knowledge. Just need a hand getting the info on where to start. Its a simple set-up and uses logic and volt limits with min/max combo to, with giving the game away, do stuff. Combining the code to make an all in one module would be what I would like everyone to have at some stage.
There is a few modules I use and combine their chained process. If anyone knows of any video's of development for VCV that would be a great help. Hopefully someone could answer simply editing or re-arranging of a module would be a great way to learn and get used to coding for VCV. svg in Gimp but its co-ordinates seem to be off for the co-ordinates in the xml. svg is all xml right? How would you know where the x/y co-ordinates are to edit and change the spacing/location of in/outs. Right now the code is 1 in 2 out then 2 out, where would you place the second In. cpp to reroute the 1:4 and make it 1in 2out + 1in 2out but that is where i'm stuck how would you add another input.

If I wanted to add more inputs and split the outs if it is 1:4 how would you go about finding out how to do that? Right now my shopping list consists of editing the. If I was to add stuff to simpler modules in VCV say the likes of mults.
I want to get into development for audio, not sure where to start with VCV the readme is pretty vague for anyone with no experience coding.
Not talking a complex module the likes of a merger or splitter.

If you update to Win7 you may eliminate your woes.īTW, I keep the SP3 machine with the 1010LT for interfacing with my ZED14 board for certain projects and for final mixing but have since moved on to making my laptop with Win7 and a Scarlett interface my main tracking machine.Anybody care to do a tutorial for newbs on coding for VCV? From panel to module something simple that can cover all base work to get a module working. Granted, there are other issues that play a role on a case by case basis with regard to incompatibilities between certain interfaces and certain MOBO chipsets, but overall the finger keeps pointing to SP3 as the culprit. Several of my tech-savvy buddies have come to the same conclusion. I'm very tech-savvy, build computers myself, have been technically working with computers since the 90's, and can only deduce the problems stem from SP3.

It still wouldn't recognize the drivers for the 1814FW so I reinstalled the old 1010LT and everything was cool. SP3 wouldn't even recognize the drivers for my Sound Devices USBPre2. When I updated to SP3 (in order to use the latest widescreen monitors) I started having problems with Windows recognizing drivers and devices. I upgraded to the 1814FW w/BLA's Tweakhead mod, a very very sweet box after the mod. I too have an XP machine (custom built) that was using the 1010LT. IME with using XP SP3, the problem is actually SP3. I hope this is the right spot to post this.

I've installed the Layla, and the driver (v6.11 from the Echo site) seemed to install with no problem. I was working with an M-Audio Delta 1010LT, but I don't have that anymore, so I picked up an Echo Layla (the older 20-bit one). I'm working with Reaper in Windows XP SP3 on a Dell Optiplex dual core 2.6GHz with 3GB of RAM. Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this issue.
